Welcome to my blog.

I recently got involved in the world of Amazon Web Services. I decided it would be a good idea to try and gain some certifications to try and future proof my career. Having mainly been involved in SQL DBA work, Sharepoint Admin, ASP.NET development and many other things, the world of cloud computing was something a bit different. I also saw it as a bit of a challenge. I decided that the AWS Developer Associate Certification was a good place to start as it seemed to be the best fit for the mix of skills I have. I went onto Udemy and purchased the acloud guru course and set about learning the course content. I also studied the suggested Whitepapers, FAQ’s and bought some practice exams. I sat the exam on May 1st and passed with flying colours. Whilst studying for the exam, it became apparent to me that the whole world of Serverless or Microservices was the future for Cloud Computing.

In this blog, I am going to be showing some of the skills I have learnt after studying this course. I have taken many of the Lambda & API Gateway projects and examples form the course and from around the internet that used java or python and converted them to use .net core and C#

I hope you find it useful.
